I really, really enjoyed this book! It was a great story that kept my interest throughout. The book was a real page turner for me. The story begins when Skylar, Kelsey and May are younger and find some objects belonging to the Samson Brothers. The Samson Brothers move back to town and into the three girls lives. A tragedy occurs and one of them takes the blame for it. This book is about friendship, love, grief, loss, sadness, sacrifice, and new beginnings.
Other reviewers pointed out that there were some errors in the book, there but not enough errors to make a difference to me. I feel that the Author did a very good job of telling the story of Skylar, Kelsey, May, Sammy and Sawyer. I liked how the chapters jumped back and forth between the present and the past. There were various plot turns and a cliff hanger at the end. I look forward to reading the next book. In book club a question was posed…”What makes a book a good book?” For me, that is a book that, even when you are finished with it, you find youself thinking about it and wanting more. This was definitely a good book for me. I highly recommend this book.
