Received from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Forensic investigator, Maggie Gardiner is investigating the death of a teenage girl found dead in a Cemetery. The young girl has not been reported as missing, and more bodies are adding up.

Jack Renner is one of the police officers that Maggie works with. He is also a vigilante killer. He is bent on justice and only kills those who are hard core criminals.

What is interesting about this book is, we know who the killer is. We know that he is searching for someone. We know that he is trying hard not to be caught and to stay a step ahead of the investigation(s).

Maggie is putting the pieces together. Will she learn Jack’s secret?

Overall an enjoyable book. I really liked the characters. Yes, even Jack. I found the story to be believable and not to outlandish. Knowing that Jack is a killer..”the” killer, makes the book interesting as you watch him try to keep killing as he tries not to be found out by his peers.

There is going to be another book in this series and I will definitely be reading it.
