The book I read had a forward by Bradbury where I learned that he wrote this book over a course of 9 days in the basement of a building on the UCLA campus. He wrote it in a basement which contained 12 typewriters. This book cost him 9.80 to write. He had to put a dime in his typewriter every half hour for it to work. I found this to be very interesting. So was this book. A book about burning books. Books are illegal in this futuristic book. A not so far distant future where firemen do not stop fires but start them. Burning books(and people’s homes) are the jobs of firemen in this book. Through the course of the book, the reader learns that one fireman, Montag, has been taking books from raids and hiding them in his home. After being turned in by his wife and her friends, he learns what it is like to have his home raided, his books burned, etc.A very interesting read
