Wow! is my first impression of this book. This information on the back cover of the book alone is staggering. This book is extremely well written and it is obvious that a tremendous amount of research, time and energy went into the writing of this book. It was sad to read (but not shocking) that companies put a lot of time, scientific research, salt, sugar and fat into making their products. They want to get us hooked, they need us to get hooked so their companies prosper and turn a profit. But at what cost? We as consumers have to say enough is enough. As Mr. Moss points out at the end of the book – it is the consumer who decides what to purchase, what to eat and how much to consume. Everyone needs to educate themselves as to what they are consuming. Read the ingredient list, look at the store layout, educate your chidren on food. Educate yourself. Start by reading this book.
