I received this book through Goodreads first reads giveaway.

The book begins with Lucie standing knee deep in the San Francisco Bay, confused and with no memory of who she was or how she got there. Her fiancee, Grady, locates her and brings her home to Seattle. A home and a life she does not remember. They begin to get to know each other again and ultimately get to know more about themselves in the process. Lucie learns that she the “new Lucie” is nothing like the old Lucie. She has to come to terms with this as does Grady. Lucie struggles to learn more about herself, her past and what caused her to have amnesia. I enjoyed how the Author had them both stuggle with the expectation of each other and the “what ifs” such as What if this peroson does not love me anymore? What if this person does not accept the new me? What if I tell her the whole truth? Will she leave me? The book also explore how both of them have experienced loss during their childhoods. We learn about their pasts as the book progresses. We see how both of their pasts have shapped their present/their future.

I really enjoyed this book. I sat down and read it all in one day. This book grabbed my attention and kept it. The characters were likeable and well written. The story is compelling and thought provoking. Highly recommend.
